Frequently asked questions.
Does easydocketing replace the firm's own docketing control?
No. The software supports you in capturing, calculating and keeping track. Responsibility for meeting deadlines remains with you, and we expressly recommend the four-eyes principle. For this reason, every deadline can be verified by its legal reference and calculation.
Which correspondence can the software read?
Emails (.eml, .msg), PDF and Word documents, as well as scanned PDFs or images by means of local text recognition. The source may be a folder, a network drive or an IMAP mailbox; the mailbox is only ever read, and nothing is flagged or moved.
Is a language model required?
No. In the “Off” mode, you work with conventional docketing. A local model or a cloud model can be added at any time; documents that are waiting are then processed retrospectively.
Where do closure days and deadlines come from?
From the organisations themselves: closure days for each office from the WIPO ePCT directory, cross-checked against the EPO Official Journal, and the table of time limits for entering the national phase from WIPO. We check these sources regularly and deliver them with a signature.
What happens when the licence expires?
The software reverts to the free Manual plan. All data are retained and remain exportable; after renewal, work continues without interruption.

Manual is free of charge: families and applications without limit, with events and deadlines recorded by you. Automated adds a data source, AI analysis, the deadline engine and costs incurred. Corporate adds the cost forecast, the next upcoming costs, and groups and roles. The price depends on the plan and scope; we will send you a quotation on request.
